Suffering Servant

Hundreds of years before Jesus began his ministry the prophet Isaiah penned a very curious prophecy. To the Jewish people who hear this prophecy it was difficult at best to decipher what he was talking about. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit Isaiah explained an aspect of the desired Messiah of Israel and it wasn’t one they wanted in a Messiah. The message had multiple levels of application. Many two-fold meanings. This prophecy could only be completed by the very one they didn’t want for a Messiah. Isaiah 53 is the Mosaic and Christian Gospel.
